My new cartoon series: Evi & Den

For the past few weeks, I have been working with several colleagues on a new cartoon series for my employer called Evi & Den.

The concept is simple: Evi is a robot, Den is a human, and both live and work aboard a spaceship. Together, they face all kinds of cybersecurity challenges in a futuristic setting. While the technology may be more advanced than what we know today, the underlying security problems often feel surprisingly familiar.

The new series has two origins. First, it is a natural successor to my earlier comic Chief Security Officer, which many readers of this blog may already know. Second, Evi & Den was inspired by a presentation at my employer’s most recent Mindshare conference. At that event, the story revolved around humans aboard a spaceship. The positive response encouraged us to further develop the idea and turn it into a recurring cartoon series.

To celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month, a new episode of Evi & Den will be published on LinkedIn every working day throughout October. All episodes are posted under the hashtag #EviAndDen. You can find all episodes published so far here:

As of October 6, three episodes have been released.

Unfortunately, the cartoons are currently only accessible to LinkedIn users, so a LinkedIn account is required to view them.

Needless to say, I would be delighted about every like, repost, and comment. Creating Evi & Den has been great fun for our team, and we hope that readers enjoy following the adventures of our robot and human crew members as much as we enjoy creating them.

Happy Cybersecurity Month, and stay tuned for more episodes from aboard the spaceship!
